I and Alberto Ferrari will present a DAX Deep Dive training day at SQLBits 9 in Liverpool, on September 29th. The conference will continue on September 30th and October 1st. Registrations are not yet open, but you should definitely save the date for SQLBits!
The goal of our session will be to cover all of the aspects of DAX, starting from the basic concepts and going through the most complicated aspects of evaluation context interactions, exploiting the full power of this language. The focus is not on PowerPivot functionalities but only on the DAX programming language, including some of the new features that will be introduced in the next version of DAX in SQL Server Analysis Services “Denali” and in PowerPivot 2.0.
Of course, as soon as the public CTP3 of Denali will be available we should start also to blog about these new features. We shouldn’t be so far from this CTP!
